Cinderella

Once upon a time there was a girl called Cinderella who was kind and loving.  She lived with her two ugly sisters who were not kind and loving. They made her cook the dinner, scrub the bath and tidy the house until she was so tired, she would fall asleep standing.

One day, the ugly sisters were invited to a party at the palace. Cinderella would have loved to go to but the sisters said she had to stay at home and work. Work. Work. Work.

When the sisters left, Cinderella cried and cried. She wanted to go to the party to see the handsome Prince. “Why can’t I go?” she sobbed.

Her cries were heard by her Fairy Godmother.Don’t cry Cinderella,” she said, “You will go to
the party”.  She waved her magic wand and a golden coach appeared with one, two, three, four, five, six grey horses.

The Fairy Godmother waved her magic wand again and Cinderella’s dress changed into a lovely ball gown. And on her feet were pretty glass slippers (the sign for “shoes”)

“Remember to leave the party before the clock strikes twelve,” the Fairy Godmother told her. At twelve o’clock, the magic ends.

When Cinderella arrived at the Palace in the golden coach, everyone said, “Who’s that? She’s very beautiful.” Even the ugly sisters didn’t recognise her. “Who’s that?” they said, puzzled.

The Prince thought she was beautiful too and he asked her to dance. She took his hand and danced danced danced the night away. The ugly sisters were very jealous.

Cinderella was so happy she forgot the Fairy Godmother’s warning until she heard the clock strike one. Oh dear! Without saying a word, she ran from the room. The clock struck two, three, four, five. She ran down the palace steps and one of her glass slippers fell off. The clock struck six, seven, eight, nine. She opened the door of the golden coach. The clock struck ten, eleven and …..

TWELVE. Instantly, the coach disappeared, the horses disappeared and Cinderella’s lovely ball gown disappeared.

“ I couldn’t believe my eyes. The effect! You have to see it for yourself. Everyone should try using signs with children. It's so simple and it's fun. ”
